Wan 2.7 Text to Image for Posters, Portraits and Brand Art

Last verified: October 19, 2026

Wan 2.7 text-to-image generation turns a written description into one finished image. You choose the frame shape and pixel size before you generate. The model is strongest where other generators usually send you to a second tool: long, legible text inside the picture, colors pinned to exact codes, and faces with their own bone structure instead of the generic AI look.

The form leaves the creative decisions to you. Everything Wan 2.7 needs to know goes into the prompt: the subject, the setting, the style, any wording that must appear in the image and any color codes. Aspect Ratio and Resolution Quality set the canvas. Two more controls help with harder briefs. Thinking Mode adds a reasoning pass for briefs that need more care, and Seed gives you a fixed starting point, so you can see what a single change does.

Tips for Better Wan 2.7 Images

Build the Prompt From Subject, Setting and Style

Alibaba's text-to-image prompt guide starts with three parts: subject, setting and style. For finer control it adds camera (shot size, angle, lens, composition), atmosphere (the mood) and detail modifiers such as backlight or high resolution. Write your prompt in that order, giving each element its own clause, so nothing important ends up buried. If all you have is a fragment, use Enhance Prompt to get a fuller draft, then cut it back to this structure.

Turn On Thinking Mode for the Image You'll Keep

With Thinking Mode on, Wan 2.7 does more inference work before it draws. This improves output quality but makes generation take longer. Leave it off while you're still testing wording and composition. Switch it on for the run you plan to deliver, or when a dense brief with several subjects and exact on-image text isn't coming together.

Keep the Seed Fixed to Test One Change at a Time

Using the same seed again gives similar outputs, so Seed is the cleanest way to see what one edit does. Enter a number and generate. Then change one phrase, such as the lighting, a color code or a line of on-image text, and generate again with the same number and settings. Most of the difference you see will then come from your edit, not from a new random start.

How to Create an Image With Wan 2.7

Four steps from a written prompt to a downloaded image.

1

Write Your Description in the "Prompt" Box

Describe the subject, the setting, the style, the lighting and the framing in the "Prompt" box, which holds up to 2,048 characters. Type any words that must appear in the image exactly as they should read, inside quotation marks, so the model knows they are copy and not description. If you're starting from a rough idea, click "Enhance Prompt" under the box for fuller suggestions.

2

Set "Aspect Ratio" and "Resolution Quality"

"Aspect Ratio" offers 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9, and starts at 1:1. Pick the frame you'll publish in before you generate, because the composition is built around it: 9:16 for Stories and Reels, 16:9 for banners and thumbnails, 3:4 or 4:3 for portrait or landscape layouts. "Resolution Quality" offers 1K, the default, or 2K. Alibaba's documentation defines these as 1024×1024 and 2048×2048 for a square image. Use 1K while you work out the wording, then switch to 2K for the version you'll deliver.

3

Click "Generate"

Before you click "Generate", check the two extra controls. "Thinking Mode" is off by default. "Seed" takes a number when you want a fixed starting point you can come back to. Each click gives you one image, so expect to run a prompt several times while you're still choosing a direction.

4

Download Your Image

Open the result at full size and read any on-image text letter by letter before you download, because one wrong character is easy to miss in a thumbnail. Then download the version you want to keep. If it's nearly right, change one phrase in the prompt and generate again instead of starting from scratch.

Choosing Between Wan 2.7 and Wan 2.7 Pro

When the standard model is enough, and when its Pro sibling is worth looking for.

Maximum output resolution Alibaba caps the standard Wan 2.7 model at 2048×2048 pixels. Wan 2.7 Pro raises the text-to-image ceiling to 4096×4096 pixels. Stay with Wan 2.7 for screen, social and web graphics, and turn to Wan 2.7 Pro when a print or large-format job needs more than 2048 pixels per side.
Generation speed Alibaba describes the standard model as the faster of the two Wan 2.7 image models. Wan 2.7 Pro gives up that speed in exchange for its larger maximum output. Choose Wan 2.7 when you iterate a lot and want quick turnarounds, and keep Wan 2.7 Pro for the final render of a job that really needs the extra pixels.
Wan 2.7 is the practical default for drafting and for screen-sized deliverables. Switch to Wan 2.7 Pro only when output beyond 2048×2048 is a hard requirement.

Fixing Common Wan 2.7 Image Problems

Three problems that come up when you generate from a text prompt, and what to change before you run again.

My long prompt won't fit in the Prompt box

The Prompt box has a fixed character limit, so a full creative brief pasted from a document can run over it. Cut what the image doesn't need: repeated adjectives, backstory, and mood instructions that your style words already imply. Keep the subject, setting, style, framing, lighting and any exact on-image text. Then generate again. If the result has lost something you cut, add that one detail back as a short phrase, not a full sentence.

I reused the same seed and prompt, but the image came out slightly different

Wan 2.7's image generation is probabilistic. Even with the same seed, results can vary, so a repeated seed gets you close to an earlier image but doesn't guarantee an identical copy. Make sure the prompt, Aspect Ratio, Resolution Quality and Thinking Mode all match the earlier run, because any changed setting makes it a different request. Then generate again and treat the result as a close variant.

I only get one image per run and want options to choose from

Each run returns a single image, so you get variety by running again. Enter a different number in Seed for each run to get a new take on the same prompt, then compare the results side by side. Once one direction wins, keep its seed and refine the wording from there. If every version misses the same element, the problem is the prompt, not luck: rewrite the part that keeps going wrong before you run again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Enhance Prompt replace what I've already typed?

No. Enhance Prompt, the button under the prompt box, takes your rough idea and offers fuller prompts to choose from. Your text stays as it is unless you pick one of the suggestions, so you can safely try it on a half-finished description and keep only the wording you like.

How is the cost of a Wan 2.7 image shown?

Once you're signed in, the credit cost of a run appears above the Generate button. It is calculated from the options you've chosen, so you can check it before you generate. Enhance Prompt suggestions don't use credits.

Can Wan 2.7 render text in languages other than English?

Yes. Wan 2.7 renders text in 12 languages and can produce print-quality academic text, complex formulas and tables inside the image. Type the exact characters you want, in the target language, and say where in the layout they should appear.

Does Wan 2.7 rewrite or expand my prompt before generating?

No. Prompt rewriting isn't supported for the Wan 2.7 image models. Alibaba's documentation recommends thinking mode as the way to improve image quality instead. Nothing automatically expands your wording before the image is made, so if you want specific lighting, framing or a particular style, write it into the prompt yourself.

Does Thinking Mode work with plain text prompts?

Yes. Thinking mode only takes effect when no input image is supplied and image-set generation is off. A prompt-only run like the ones you make here meets both conditions.
