Gemini Omni Text to Video: Prompt-Driven Clips up to 4K

Last verified: October 19, 2026

Gemini Omni brings an intuitive grasp of physics and Gemini's knowledge of history, science and cultural context to the scenes you write. That lets a prompt go past photorealism into real storytelling, and here the finished clip can be rendered at up to 4K. Gemini Omni text-to-video work starts in the Prompt box. Describe what happens and how the camera sees it, choose the length, resolution and frame shape, and each run returns one finished video.

The model outputs high-quality, high-resolution video with audio. That makes it a good fit for short pieces that need to explain something, reveal something or set a mood, not just fill space as background footage.

The form keeps your decisions few: one prompt, three format choices and a Seed field. So most of your control comes from how you word the prompt.

How Do You Prompt Gemini Omni for Better Clips?

Direct the Camera Like a Cinematographer

Gemini Omni follows specific videography directions, so don't leave the camera to chance: write down the shot size, where the camera sits and how it moves. For a fixed frame, use words such as static, locked off or fixed. For movement, a single clear move, such as a slow push-in or a tracking shot alongside the subject, is easier to judge in review than several moves stacked together. Give the camera its own sentence in the Prompt box, next to the scene description, the lighting and the mood, since those are the details that give the best text-to-video results.

Write the Sound Into the Same Prompt

Gemini Omni generates its audio from the same text description as the picture, so treat sound as part of the brief. Name the background ambience, any sound effects tied to the action and any spoken line, and say what to leave out. 'No music' is a useful line when you want natural sound only. A specific cue, such as rain drumming on a tin roof as the door swings open, gives the model something concrete to time against the action. A bare 'with sound' leaves every choice open.

Name a Complex Action Once

When a prompt mentions a complex action, Gemini Omni understands what you mean and how it should play out across the video, so you don't need to describe it frame by frame. Write 'a skateboarder lands a kickflip and rolls away' instead of spelling out every turn of the board, and spend the characters you save on light, setting and sound. If the action happens in several stages, choose a longer Video Duration so it has time to finish.

From Prompt to Finished Clip

Four steps take you from a written scene to a downloaded video.

1

Write your scene in the Prompt box

Type the scene into "Prompt". It's the required field and holds up to 2,048 characters. In plain sentences, describe the subject and what happens, the setting, the camera, the light and any sound. If you only have a rough idea, click "Enhance Prompt" under the box to see fuller versions. Your text stays the same until you pick one.

2

Choose Video Duration, Resolution and Aspect Ratio

Set "Video Duration" to 4, 6, 8 or 10 seconds. It starts on 4, so pick the shortest length that lets the action finish. "Resolution" offers 720P, 1080P or 4K and starts on 720P. Keep it there while you test the wording, then raise it for the version you'll publish. "Aspect Ratio" starts on 9:16, which suits Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Switch to 16:9 for YouTube, websites and presentations.

3

Click Generate

Click "Generate" to start the run. Each run returns a single video. To compare two versions of a prompt, enter a number in "Seed" and reuse it on the next run, so the wording is the only thing you've changed.

4

Download the result

Watch the clip all the way through before you download it. If it was a low-resolution test and the shot works, raise "Resolution", keep the same prompt and "Seed", generate the final version and download that one.

Gemini Omni or Kling O3: Which Fits Your Clip?

Both run on Vidofy with the same prompt box. Here's where their settings differ and where they don't.

Clip length Four preset lengths, two seconds apart, cover single beats and short social cuts. Kling O3 accepts any whole-second length from 3 to 15 seconds. Choose Kling O3 when a shot has to run past Gemini Omni's longest preset or hit an exact odd length, and stay with Gemini Omni when one of its presets already fits the beat.
Frame shape Clips come out in vertical or widescreen framing. Kling O3 adds a square 1:1 frame to vertical and widescreen, and it opens on square. Square feed posts point to Kling O3, while for vertical shorts or widescreen video both models fit, so let length or look decide.
Resolution tiers The same three tiers as Kling O3 are available, with 4K at the top. Kling O3 offers 720P, 1080P and 4K, and it also starts at 720P. Resolution doesn't separate the two models, so choose on length and frame shape and set the tier based on where the clip will be published.
Prompt input The form takes one text prompt, with the same character limit and Enhance Prompt helper as Kling O3. Kling O3 uses an identical prompt box with the same Enhance Prompt button beneath it. Because the prompt boxes match, you can paste the same brief into both models and keep the clip you like better.
Gemini Omni suits shots that fit one of its preset lengths in a vertical or widescreen frame. Kling O3 suits square posts, clips longer than Gemini Omni's longest preset and exact lengths in between. Since the prompt boxes and resolution tiers match, the quickest way to decide is to run one brief through both.

Fixing Common Clip Problems

Problems creators hit when turning prompts into clips, and what to change before the next run.

My story needs more time than one clip gives me

Even the longest Video Duration option covers one short scene, so a longer piece has to be built from several runs. Split the story into beats that each fit in one clip, generate each beat at the longest duration, and describe the character, wardrobe, setting and light in the same words in every prompt so the shots cut together. Then put the clips together in your editor.

My prompt won't fit in the box

The Prompt box has a character limit. Long prompts usually run out of room because of stacked adjectives and background detail that never shows up on screen. Cut synonyms and decorative modifiers first, then keep one sentence each for the subject and action, the setting, the camera, the light and the sound. Paste the shorter version back in and generate again.

The clip cuts to another angle when I wanted one unbroken take

If you want a single take, ask for it in words. Google's prompt guide gives 'one continuous shot' or 'oner' as the phrasing to use. Put it near the start of the prompt, describe the camera path from the first frame to the last, and run it again.

I only get one version per run and want options to choose from

Each run returns one video, so you get variations by running it again. Change one thing per run, such as the camera sentence, the lighting description or the Seed number, so you can tell which change produced the version you like best.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to generate a Gemini Omni video?

The credit cost of a run is worked out from the options you choose and appears above the Generate button once you're signed in, so you see it before you start. The cost changes with Video Duration and Resolution. Suggestions from the Enhance Prompt button don't use credits.

Is Gemini Omni's 4K output native or upscaled?

Google's developer documentation lists 720p as the default output resolution and marks both 1080p and 4K as upscaled. That affects how you should use the Resolution setting. Judge motion, framing and timing on a draft, and choose 4K when your delivery format needs it. If the image looks soft, fix it in the prompt, for example with closer framing or clearer light, rather than relying on the higher tier alone to add detail.

Can I start from a photo instead of a text prompt?

This generator works from the Prompt box alone, so every clip starts as a written description. When a shot has to begin from a specific picture, such as a product photo or a character design, use the Gemini Omni Image To Video workflow instead.

Does Enhance Prompt rewrite my prompt automatically?

No. The button under the prompt box suggests fuller versions of a rough idea, and your text only changes when you pick one of them. It's a quick way to turn a one-line idea into a fuller brief while you keep control of what actually runs.

What frame rate does Gemini Omni render at?

Gemini Omni outputs video at 24 FPS at every resolution tier. On a 24 fps edit timeline the clips drop straight in. On a 25 or 30 fps timeline, let your editing software handle the frame-rate conversion.
